In 1973 Louis Mogas founded MOGAS Industries with a mission to design and manufacture the best metal seated severe service ball valve available in the world. Today we are the leading global supplier of severe service ball valves for the power, process, mining/autoclave and specialty applications industries.

First, application specific designs as determined by experienced Engineers armed with in-depth observations at site and at repair facilities. MOGAS will always visit the plant site, tour the plant's valve bone yard and discuss plant operations with end user personnel.
MOGAS engineers are equipped with the latest and most sophisticated tools, such as finite element analysis (FEA) and SolidWorks software, a parametric-driven modeling software. With MOGAS, you can access the greatest depth of knowledge, applications engineering, and most technologically advanced innovation in the severe service ball valve industry. Over 29 years of focused design and material research specific to severe service valve applications proves its value in terms of plant run-time and safety.

We have experience in services as varied as DRI plants, Acidic Anhydride Units, and NASA Rocket test standards among others. We outperform our competitors in the range of 3 or 10 to one. Second, research in design, materials and coatings. Continuous research must be the mission of the manufacturer on-site, in service, and in the laboratory. Our process of evaluation and adoption of promising variations in design and materials supported by prototype bench testing and material/coating coupons tested in service is unsurpassed. Successful R&D is the result of a long history of experience and exposure to various severe service applications. What is learned in one market often contributes to solutions in another market.

Third, project deliverability is critical to bringing these benefits to the customer. We can deliver high quality severe service valves reliably. We have total focus on all the demands of a project, the documentation, the testing, quality checks and the continuous communication required with the customer. We have set up the company's personnel and culture specifically to handle severe service products. Another reason we can deliver is that severe service ball valves are the only products we produce. We do not manufacture any products that compete with our focus.

Fourth, Service and parts. Severe service applications require a supplier to become married to the end user's plant. The very best results are obtained when the end user and MOGAS form a partnership. This relationship contributes to enhancements in valve performance and leads to scheduled and controlled maintenance. In severe service, repairs must be performed by the manufacturer to allow incremental design improvements based on many years of varied severe service experience. Service must be supplied in country and/or on-site. Since severe service valves are necessarily expensive to purchase, parts and repairs must be available for very quick turnaround, in emergencies 2 days, standard 6-8 weeks or on-site.
